• I'm a White Pig Nobleman Chapter 1

I'm a White Pig Nobleman, but with the memories of my previous life, I'll raise my little brother

    Chapter 01

My day begins with me looking in a mirror, checking out my appearance and saying, "You're a stunning white pig just as always"

I, "Houchou Kiryuu Kikunoi" was born as the eldest son of the Kikunoi Count family of the Kiryuu Empire, and I'm five years old this year.
Five and a half years old, to be exact.

However, he has a figure that is not good for a five-year-old boy of a noble family.
First, black hair that stretched to the shoulders with a heavy atmosphere, purple eyes that you can't see at all because they are surrounded by fat cheeks.
A round nose like a pig and fat lips.
The only good thing about him is that his skin is as white as snow.
    That's why he's a white pig.

Anyone knows that an infant body is supposed to be short and round... "a little chubby", but he was too fat for his age.
His wrists were as thick as an adult's, and his belly was so protruding that he suffered pain each time he sits in a chair.

I'm a typical fat guy, thank you very much for the introduction.... What kind of torture is this?

But it's much better now, Six months ago, I couldn't see my toes because of my protruding belly, I couldn't scratch my back by myself, and most importantly, I've to ask for help me to go to the bathroom.
I can go by myself now and aside from everything else, the toilet was the only thing that so hard for me to realize I've to slime down asap!!
I was really embarrassed about having a stranger take care of me like that!
But I've been working hard on my diet thanks to the shame I felt that day, so I guess it was a good thing, at the end.

    ...what's strange about me?
Don't I look five years old?
Yeah, everybody says I'm very mature for my age, but the truth is my mental age is nearly six times, my actual age.
And that's because... I have the memories of my previous life.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop! Let me explain...
I understand how you feel, but let me explain!

It was only six months ago that suddenly I remembered all.
At that time, epidemics were raging in the Kiryuu Empire, and I, who was almost five years old, fell ill.
After suffering nightmares accompanied by a high fever that lasted for one week, the doctor gave up on saving my life and called director in charge of the funerals of the nobles of the country.

I know about this because my nanny Rottenmeier, who has been taking care of me since I was a little baby, told me about it.
I had a fever, and in the middle of my several nightmares, I recovered the memories of "the old me", and somehow survived.

Let's talk about the "old me" a little.
I was born in a country called Japan.
My hobbies included cooking, sewing, DIY(Do-It-Yourself), watching musicals, especially the Violet Garden ladies' stage play, which is the best thing I saw in my whole life.
    Yes, a so-called Otomen*.

Anyway, I was single, but I was on good terms with my parents, I was a civil servant, even when sometimes it looked more like one of those black companies for me.
I was lucky enough to have my childhood best friend as a co-worker, we knew each other since elementary school.
But now that I think about it, I guess it wasn't a good thing at all.
My best friend since elementary school, Tanaka, loved anime and light novels, and used to let me make her cosplay costumes and stuff.
The anime costumes have a lot of embellishments in common with those of the Violet Garden, which I admired.
It was fun, and the materials came almost entirely from her part-time job, so I was enjoying the luxury of doing my hobby with the money of someone else.

Of course, I treated her to food when she came to my house, I was her maid of honor in her fan-made manuscripts, and I was her make-up artist for her cosplay.
Well, it was just a carefree life with a bunch of idiots as friends....

One summer day, I spent three whole days of my week-long vacation working on a manuscript for selling in the Comicon with Tanaka.
On the fourth day of the event, and Tanaka run out of copies to sell of our manuscript, it was a very hot day, over 30 degrees in the morning.
I managed to get a bunch of copies in time from my house, and while I was binding them and ordering them, the temperature inside the Comicon's building reached such a temperature that it became hard to breath.
Yet, we stayed there all night selling books, buying books, cosplaying, and taking photos.
After I went home, I was attacked by a mysterious illness that made me feel hot and cold at the same time.
After taking a bath at home, I stumbled over my bed and lost consciousness as I listened to my desperate parents calling out to me.

Now I guess I died there, since I don't remember what happened after that. Probably it was the heatstroke. Who can I be so dumb?

And "the old me" has been reborn as the "me of this world".

I think the reason now I'm like this... It's because the knowledge of the "old me" has been successfully fused into the "me of this world".

Now, I'm the "me of this world" with the memories of my "old me", that's the reason I'm not anymore "the old me" nor "the me of this world" but the "current me"

    Notes:

Otomen: a guy who really loves things that are usually associated with girls: cooking, sewing, and especially reading shōjo manga love stories.

Is it normal that there are suddenly a few paragraphs in italics that are written in third person point of view instead of first person like the rest of the story?

Hi, It's because it's how the author introduced his character, now that he recovered his memories he knows about it, also that's the reason why he says later <<I'm a typical fat guy, thank you very much for the introduction.... What kind of torture is this?>> I wanted to show the difference between his thoughts, the conversation between the characters and what the author said about each of them

Hope it makes more sense now!

        cool

all the "I"s and "me"s at the closing part got me confused.
This is kinda interesting to read. Thank you for picking this one up.

Hello, I hope it is clearer now.

In short, he was trying to say that when he recovered the memories of his old Japanese self, the five-year-old boy born in that world changed dramatically, it is as if he had been reborn as a new person.

I'm pretty interested in this story, but there's a few points that confused me, specifically gender.  The MC is an otomen, so he's a male, but you referred to him at one point as a girl, was that an accident or was he using that term to demean himself?  OR, is he a semi-transexual?  His friend from childhood was mostly called a female, but was swapped with male pronouns at one point, making me wonder if it was a fellow otomen, in the end.  It's nothing I'm really criticizing you for, I'm just having a bit of trouble visualising the characters.
